What's happening in your garden today?

Spading bought some Peat Moss. Was hoping to get it worked up but I don't work as fast as I used to.

Son was complaining how hard it is to till. I told him it needed Spading.

Oh I an't doing that.

It was golf in the morning, then lunch, then a bit of shopping. So after I had got home and made us some cappuccinos, I got into this.





The paint on the back of the wood had dried overnight. So it was just a case of screwing it to the garage and giving the front its first coat of paint. It'll get another tomorrow. It only took an hour, finished for half-past four.
As I already had the paint, total cost, twenty quid.

Planted Marigolds, Basil and some Elephant Ears.

Repotted a Gerber Daisy.

Working around this beautiful rain. Wanted to plant some more Cannas but it wasn't to be.

My wife wanted me to plant Cannas and Elephant Ears together but they have different needs.

Thinking of getting some Christmas Ferns. Put some Hostas in front of them.

Was going to get Bees but I would need my sons help but I don't think he realizes how much work is involved.

We have several large green Apta glazed pots, one of which is to the side of our front door. We have several plants in plastic pots which just about fit inside this pot, so we can ring the changes.
Until recently, it was this heather, but it was past its best.



So before any of our roses became available, I thought I'd give this azalea a chance, I'd bought it for £18 in B&Q on 18th of March. Pictured here the same day after I'd transferred it to this bigger plastic pot adding a mixture of compost and top soil..



Well, it's certainly done me proud.

Not much being pretty wet today but did notice some New Pups on my Snake Plants.
