What's happening in your garden today?

Went shopping first. Bought some Captain Jacks Copper. For my Squash Powdery Mildew. Supposed to be good.

Got Bird Netting for my Strawberries.

Bought some Vinegar 6X strength for my Drive.

Mixed a batch of soil. Took bunch of cuttings off Petunias potted them.

Surprised to see another Banana Tree coming up. Know better next time. I think we still need two more.

Got Coleus and Gerber Daisy coming up, oh and Basil.

Watered bunch of plants. Called my wife in the city said she sold most my Bedding Plants.

Said she sold my Creeping Inch Plant. You know really I would hope she would sell them all. Their more of a Creepy Inch Plant. No! No! Really it's the only Plant that you can set and actually see grow.

She sold a Christmas Cactus that is actually a Thanksgiving Cactus but I got it as a Christmas Cactus so

I did a bit yesterday.

I decided these heathers in the two troughs were looking a bit scraggy.

In fact, one in the right-hand trough was dead.

As these troughs are in a prominent position, I decided we needed some new plants.

As I had shopping to do, I called in at B&Q and bought eight Impatiens and four Dianthus, plus six new black plastic pots for them in Home Bargains. I made up a mixture of compost and top soil and planted two in each pot. I gave the troughs a good clean too.

So these will do for the summer.

The other four heathers, once I'd blown all the dead wisteria petals out of them, don't look too bad.

They may go back in the troughs at the end of the year.


This is the other azalea I bought in B&Q a couple of months ago, but this one was only £10.

It flowered too early to have a turn by the front door.

Potted bunch of Gerber Daisy's. Was surprised I had some cuttings appears they are starting to root.

Put some Acidfier around my Blueberries again.

Told my son I got the wrong Bushes I wanted Old-fashioned Lilac and got Button Bush. Told him one tree looked like a Mimosa Tree. Well Dad maybe it's because it is a Mimosa Tree. I planted it.

Picked Strawberries. Pulled some Weeds and Watered my Succulents.

Nothing today except a bit of watering.
We might get some rain overnight, a bit more later on Saturday and Sunday, but a lot on Monday and Tuesday.
 
Been raining and not really wanting to do anything days.

Oh sun came out better do something. Took some Geranium cuttings put them in some soil. Ah it should! I got some Petunia Cuttings I think their rooting.

I was told if you cut all the blooms off a Petunia it will double blooms. I had a beautiful White one I cut every bloom off it I think it is working.
