Welcome to the Garden! We want this to be the best resource for vegetable gardeners on the web. To keep this place helpful, friendly, and growing, we have a few simple rules.
Think of this forum like a community garden: Be neighborly, keep your plot tidy, and don't throw rocks.
1. The Golden Rule: Be Neighborly We are all here to learn. Whether you're a master gardener or someone who just killed their first cactus, treat everyone with respect.
No personal attacks. Disagree with ideas, not people.
No "trolling". If you are just here to stir up drama, this isn't the place for you.
2. No Politics or Religion There are plenty of other places on the internet to argue about politics. Here, the only "left vs. right" we care about is which side of the garden gets the most sun. Let's keep the conversation focused on the plants.
3. Keep it Clean We are a family-friendly site. Please keep language PG. If you wouldn't say it in front of your grandma, don't type it here.
4. No Spam / Self-Promotion
Real Gardeners Only: If you join just to post a link to your "cheap Ray-Ban sunglasses" site, you will be banned immediately.
Bloggers/YouTubers: We love creators! You are welcome to share your content if it is relevant to a discussion, but please don't just drop links and leave. Engage with the community.
5. Stay on Topic Please Try to post your thread in the correct category. If you are talking about pickles, put it in "The Pantry." If you are talking about fertilizer, put it in "Soil." It helps everyone find what they are looking for.
6. The "Chemical vs. Organic" Truce This is often a hot topic.
Some gardeners use synthetic fertilizer (13-13-13).
Some gardeners use only compost and manure.
Both are welcome here. Please do not shame others for their gardening choices. Share your experience, tell us what works for you, and let others decide what works for them.
