Welcome, everyone!

I wanted to kick things off by introducing myself and explaining a little bit about why I built this place.

I live in Vernon, Texas (Zone 7b/8a), where my gardening life is usually a battle against sandy soil, 100-degree summers, and the occasional fire ant invasion. I’ve been gardening for several years now and, like many of you, I spend a lot of time searching the web for answers.

Why I started GardenForum.com

I noticed that a lot of great gardening knowledge is getting lost in the noise of social media. You see a great tip on Facebook or Instagram, and five minutes later, it scrolls away forever.

I wanted to build something permanent. I wanted to build The Vegetable Gardening Authority.

My vision for this site is to create the ultimate resource for vegetable gardeners across the US and beyond. Whether you are dealing with frost in Maine, humidity in Florida, or the dry heat right here in the Southwest, we all share the same goal: getting the best possible harvest out of the dirt we have.

What you can expect here:

  • Real Advice: No fluff, just gardeners helping gardeners.
  • A Focus on Edibles: While we love all plants, our heart is in the vegetable patch.
  • A Friendly Community: We were all beginners once. This is a place to ask questions without judgement.
I’m excited to watch this community grow along with our gardens. Thanks for being here at the very beginning.
