I was looking maybe for my wife to be called in for bad weather.

I was telling her looked like a big fire over at the State Park. Told her looked like one of those that go for miles.

Then she gets a call to come to the office there is fires everywhere.

Wind is blowing 40+MPH.

Prayers for the safety of everyone involved in putting those fires out! The wind is blowing 40+ here today, too, and we've got a fire starting up about 30 miles east of where I live. The wind is blowing out of the west, mostly, so we should be safe but I definitely worry about all the folks east of that fire!

My son lives in Ohio and is currently on a tornado warning for this weekend. We don't have such extreme weather here thank goodness.

Well it rained some and wind died so once again most is good.

She said 17 houses burnt in one town, said one house burnt in town, said they had a fire at the Barrel Plant lightning hit stack of Pallets and 700 acres burnt over by the State Park.

Guess when it got by us it got worse with tornadoes and all. There was 12 died.

Terrible news! Prayers for the families involved and, really, for all those who had damage. Any idea what caused the fires? Was it natural causes (lightning) or something "we" caused?

Sad. There are fires in Britain too at the moment. Who says climate change is not happening?

Climate changes all the time and there is nothing man can do to stop it.

Every Spring I know across the river everyone brunt open up the woods for the Wildlife.

Use to be much worse.

This system was crazy. It wasn't just a few Tornadoes it was a whole wall of small Tornadoes.

Someone text me there is a big fire across the highway.

Let's see highway is to the North wind is out of the South.

Pray for those to the north of the highway, and be thankful you're to the south! Hopefully they'll be able to get it contained quickly before any people, or animals, are injured, or worse. If y'all's wind is anything like we've had for the past few weeks, though, it'll be tough to get it surrounded!

I had to laugh use to you go to a fire and Forestry would give you a Leaf Rake and say go get it.

Last time they told me to get out of the way they were professionals and told me they wouldn't be able to save my house.

Said BS me and my wife went to the house and set backfire around the house and barn saving them.

Go up on the highway and they are just standing there. I asked the Chief why they wasn't setting backfire? Oh the highway will stop it.

Wind was really getting it. I told my wife this should be interesting. Was listening to the fire coming like a Freight Train. Came to the highway and didn't slow down. Told the guys still had a chance to stop it go to next road over and backfire.

So I took the professionals over to the next road.
