Gardening during the pandemic

What did you look like during the pandemic out shopping for your gardening supplies? I wore a mask because there were so many people coughing and hacking, sneezing and snuffling, that, even if the mask didn't work for keeping coronavirus out, at least it kept me dry !!😁

Am I allowed to say just how much it suits you Annie. It's definitely a good way of scaring the germs away - they wouldn't dare to get round the gaping gaps at the sides. I reckon we all need one of those. It reminds me of our prime minister.

I know, I think it's just perfect for me. Most people couldn't look at me for long, they had to turn away. All the better to keep them from sneezing on me !! 😄
 
Watch this space, I do believe that Zigs is, as we speak, searching for proof of his own deterrent for the same pandemic - you never know, you may not have to wait long :rolleyes:
 
This is me in the cactus house dressed as a vodoo plague doctor. This was just as effective at keeping the virus at bay as a mask was. After all, trying to keep something the size of a virus out with as mask is the same as trying to stop a flea with a fishing net :)

I had a list of folk banned from my cactus shop that started off about the time of the "pandemic"

Can't find the list now but it included the prime minister and the lord mayor of London to start with :ninja:

Goes without saying that the new prime minister is banned too :)

We still have jars of dried tomatoes that we grew from that year 😁

Over here at my bank, you had to use the Drive-through, then, if you wanted to get funds back from a check you were depositing you had to remove your mask so they could tell it was you !! 😎

:rolleyes: It's a good job that masks were less than useless against the virus then, otherwise everyone would be dead.

We had to get to know someone's voice if they were running a big account, you'd be speaking to them every day and transfering millions so you had to be sure who you were talking to. Every day I spoke to a lady called Jackie.

Years later, in a different job in a different town, I started working with a lady called Jackie. We'd never met before but we knew each other.

It was the same Jackie...
