Garden butterflies

Cor, brilliant Annie 😎

I recognised that straight away, we call them Camberwell Beauty over here. Think I've only seen one once in real life though 😬

They probably find hollow trees or somewhere when it's too hot. Our Peacock butterflies used to hang on the ceiling in my pill box.

A privilege to revisit this thread freed from witness protection. One of the last visitors to my butterfly garden last fall was the Texas Cresent.

I'm eagerly awaiting the return of butterflys spring 2025. I have some surprises planned for them including, coneflowers, black-eyed susans, various milkweeds, butterfly bushes, etc. etc. Looking forward to their return.
