I have Robins which are in huge flocks out in the yard. They all flew down last week with flocks of smaller birds, probably due to all that snow that hit north of me, like in the Ozarks and above there. This one, stood in the same spot long enough for me to go inside, get my phone and sl~ooooowly creep nearer and nearer until I dare not go a crawl further. You can see he's looking straight at me !! Our Robins are afraid of humans.
He's a big healthy one !! Probably stood still while digesting all the worms he's found and eaten this morning for breakfast !!![]()
The only place you'll find friendly birds, outside of hummingbirds which have never been predated so they aren't afraid, is at Disney World or Epcot. They sit in the trees and will land right on your table and help themselves to whatever's on the plate !! They pay no attention to the signs which say : " Do not feed the birds" !!Our Robins sit on your fork handle and wait for you to dig worms up for them Annie
Brill shot of the Woodpecker @Logan
Zoomed in on a Bluetit today, it's taken through the car windscreen so a bit fuzzy

I like that Irish folk song . "Something, something, early in the morning" as I remember. I used to go to reenactments of our Civil War and our Indian Wars and that song was invariably played by small three piece violinists. We have Pigeons that do that
Seagulls can be a right meanace here if you've got food, they've got big sharp beaks designed to slice fish up
I filmed this on the North Sea Coast here...

I can contest to the fact that Seagulls can be vicious !! I got cut on my hand by a Seagull who was dead set on taking the Quohog I had just picked up out of the surf. Chased me and all !!![]()
