Just been looking at this on Youtube, remembering 40 odd years ago, a mate of mine decided we ought to go "gleaning", going round the edge of the wheat field after the combine had harvested the main crop.
There was loads of upright wheat round the edge and we very quickly filled a couple of carrier bags full of ears of wheat.
Trouble is, being young lads, we didn't have a clue what to do with the stuff
