I was doing some reading today and I came across a picture of a purple variety of broccoli. I've never seen, or heard, of this. The article also said that once cooked, the purple broccoli turned back green.
My question is, have any of y'all grown purple broccoli before? Does it turn back to green any way you cook it? What if you roast it? Will it still turn back green? Also, does the purple broccoli taste any different than the green varieties? I'm considering ordering some purple broccoli seeds and trying some out. I think my son would love to give it a shot. But, I don't really want to try it if the taste will be subpar. I'm already not the biggest fan of broccoli as it is, but do like the ones we grew in the garden last year.
