Back when we moved here the Amish lived in Trailer Houses, never seen a Dusk to Dawn Light, had to drive 20 miles to use a phone, you could count on Winter lots of snow and ice and very cold you could Ice Skate, then Spring came and you could count on Wild Fires from March until May. They had their own Law there you never called the Law and always carried a Firearm.
Amish Church was very strict no Electric, propane was ok,no Automobiles, no Tractors. So they all had Wood Heat and one Gas Light. Their Horses were use to be use to Brush Hog and Corn Chopper.
I was told don't associate with the Amish. Me being me they was the first ones I befriended. Had one out of the area when I was at his Saw Mill. I took a load of Lumber. He came back I paid him for it. He said yes he seen it gone figured someone needed it but he wasn't expecting to get paid.
All changed everyone use to say it was just too hard living there. But now no Winters and no Wildfires so their buying all up and saying they live in the Bonnie's.
