Can You Direct Seed?

Got a place I'm wanting some Coleus can I Direct Seed there?

And will Coleus reseed themselves?

Not sure. We planted some this year but I'd never even seen them before. I'm hoping we're able to harvest seeds from them at the end of the season so we can plant them again next year from our own crop.

Oh yes, you can direct seed them. Sow them on the surface of potting soil or seed starting mix or seed bed (which is what I do). Generally, takes about 10 days to germinate give or take.

Thank you. I figured they would they drop seed in another pot. Wouldn't be long they come up.

Shoot they root good from a cutting.
