I had my Potting Mix Tested and it shows very high in Potassium and Phosphorus, just high in Magnesium.

My Mix consists of 2 parts Compost, 1 part Peat Moss and some Jimpson added.

I'm thinking if I add 1 more Peat Moss it will bring down the other.

I'm really needing a knowing opinion on this. I tried the Internet and it is not getting this is a Potting Mix to be divided up between hundreds of pots.

Asked my son he says it's your baby. Asked my Hired Hand and says it should work.

Like I say I really need an opinion on this because I need to mix soil. My plants are happy right now and I want them to continue being happy. I thinking it will also help it retain water during warmer weather.

My opinion is that Jimpson weed should never ever be added to compost or potting soil. It contains alkaloids that can be harmful to humans and animals. Composting it could spread these toxins into your soil, potentially affecting plants grown in it.

There is no mineral called Jimpson.

There is a mineral called Jimthompsonite that is a magnesium iron silicate mineral.

So sorry I didn't see the resemblance...and no I didn't know or even begin to know what you meant.... if indeed that is what you meant.
