Anyone ever grow Fava beans ?

I got an email from one of the seed companies that I've patronized in the past: "Peaceful Valley Farms" and they say that Fava beans make a good winter cover crop and will withstand 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit, so would do well here.

I've never even tasted them, let alone grew them !! Any info anyone has as to growing them, how they taste and how to cook them would be appreciated !!

Well, I didn't know you Americans call them that. I haven't watched Logan's video yet, but I can remember helping my grandad to grow broad beans when I was very small. I remember that you should plant them in the autumn to avoid black-fly. I'm not sure if I understood what black-fly was then.

I just ordered two pounds of them and they should be here next tuesday, but they like 50-65 degree temps for sprouting so, I can probably plant them out next month right now It's too warm.
